Where does it occur?

This 15 100 ha association has been sampled from the the Waipoua Forest area of Western Northland and the Coromandel Peninsula. Sites range from flat to very steeply sloping (60º). Altitudes range from 20 to 320 m.

Description

This forest association is rather short statured at, on average, 10 m tall but can range from 5 to 15 m. It tends to contain a moderate amount of species with an average of 24 species on a plot which can reach 42. On average, there are few (less than 2%) exotic species present.
