You are invited to take part in a survey about decision making on dairy farms in the Waihou-Piako catchment.

The survey contributes to our research into helping dairy farmers gain a greater sense of control over the decisions they make in implementing voluntary environmentally sustainable farming practices.

To participate

  • Your responses must be about a dairy farm located in Waihou-Piako catchment
  • You must be partially or fully responsible for the day-to-day operations of the dairy farm or be the landowner responsible for capital costs
  • The survey can only be taken once per dairy farm

You will need your milk supply number to complete the survey or be the landowner responsible for the capital costs.

How long does it take?

  • Initial survey: 20-30 minutes
  • Follow-up in 15 months: 20-30 minutes

In between these two surveys, you may be invited to participate in some entirely optional activities.

By way of thanks

To show our appreciation for your time, a $50 voucher from Countdown Supermarket will be sent to you upon the completion of this survey.

It is important that we can survey you a second time in about 15 months – after completing the follow-up survey we will send you a $150 voucher from Countdown Supermarket to express our gratitude.
