Where does it occur?

This shrubland was sampled on the South Island east coast near Timaru and Fairlie, at altitudes between 150 and 425 m. It is likely to be more widely distributed.

Description

These shrublands tend to be species-poor with on average only 7 and at most only 10 species recorded on a plot.On average,13% of these are exotic.

Co-occurrence of Coprosma propinqua, Discaria toumatou and Cordyline australis.

This shrubland was sampled on the South Island east coast near Timaru and Fairlie, at altitudes below 600 m. It is likely to be more widely distributed.

Description

These shrublands tend to be species-poor with on average only 4 and at most only 7 species recorded on a plot.The level of exotic species is very high with over half of species present being exotic.
