Planning is underway for a comprehensive in-person only myrtle rust focused event in Sydney, Australia. The meeting will bring together leading experts on the disease from Australia and New Zealand. Themes will include pathogen, host, biosecurity, conservation challenges and the social/cultural/economic dimensions of this devastating disease. A field trip on the final day will provide the opportunity to observe the damage Austropuccinia psidii is causing to some of Australia's iconic native Myrtaceae at sites around Sydney.
