Description
The valves are linear or linear-elliptical with protracted, broadly rounded apices, 30-40 µm long and 9-10 µm broad. The raphe is straight with terminal fissures and central nodules deflected in the same direction. The axial area is broad and lanceolate, the central area forms a broad transverse fascia. The transapical striae are radiate in the middle of the valve, but convergent at the apices, 8-11 in 10 µm.Description reproduced with kind permission of Koeltz Scientific Books.
