Viv Heslop
Viv is an active participant in urban sustainability projects through her research and her consulting work. She has been involved in the LIUDD research project since the beginning, with a specific focus on the processes of changing plans and practice to support LIUDD. Viv has a background in science and environmental planning, with a research interest in how to build institutional capacity to progress sustainable development, particularly in the urban context. She is currently doing doctorial studies through the University of Auckland looking at how sustainable development can be institutionalized as the guiding principle for public policy in New Zealand.
