This region has considerable onychophoran
diversity. Both ovoviviparous 15
pairs of legs forms have been found in this region with some assignable
to described P.
novaezealandiae and P.
indigo (includes type locality for this species). There are other
forms that are not currently assignable to any described species.
Oviparous 14 pairs of legs forms have been found that vary from being able to be assigned to O. viridimaculatus and those that do no possess the typical pattern of that described species. |
