Pulvilli (Pv)
In line drawings pulvilli are usually illustrated as branched or brush-like setae (as shown), rather than pad-like lobes bearing numerous spicules (as you would see in an SEM). Under the light microscope, pulvilli are generally more easily seen on the hindlegs, and have the appearance of fuzzy pads. |
