- The Global Reporting Initiative was established in 1997 by CERES (Coalition for Environmentally Responsible Economies) to design globally applicable guidelines for sustainability reports.
- The International Corporate Environmental Reporting site contains information about corporate reporting and access to reports.
- The Association of Chartered Certtified Accountants in the UK gives awards annually for the best UK and European environmental and social reports.
- The New Zealand Business Council for Sustainable Development is made up of companies committed to a business leadership role as a catalyst for change towards sustainable development. Members have committed to sustainability reporting and are initiating programme, for example, in triple-bottom line reporting, climate change, successful schools.
- The Natural Step is a science-based framework for sustainability which is being used by organisations in several countries.
