Highlights

Highlights include:

• ICANZ recognised us as a leader in triple bottom line reporting with three awards for our 2001 Annual Report, including the premier award.
• We supported eight scholarships to Māori university students.
• Tūhoe took over managing the kiwi recovery programme at the conclusion of our 10-year research programme with Tūhoe and DOC at Lake Waikaremoana.
• Our strong financial performance continued with turnover of $42.7 million and operating profit of $2.8 million.
• We showed how land covered in regenerating scrub could potentially earn New Zealand more than $100 million/yr in carbon credits.
