Sustainability ...… the focus of our research, our own performance, and this building
Our research includes work on improving the sustainable performance of New Zealand cities and

communities by reducing:
- the need for, and cost
of, infrastructure services
- and, at the same time, the adverse environmental effects of development.
We also work with business and government to minimise waste and increase the efficiency with which we use energy and other resources.
This purpose-built science facility is an opportunity for us to show what can be achieved. The performance of the building and associated stormwater management system will be the subject of on-going research by Landcare Research and University of Auckland students. We welcome your interest and any questions you may have.
