Hamilton Office Carving
This
is a stone carving at the Landcare Research office on the Waikato University
campus in Hamilton.
The sculpture was carved by Jocelyn Pratt from Putaruru. She carved it from Hinuera stone during an annual stone carving symposium week in 2000 Matamata.
Jocelyn called it Luminary representing the source of light from the moon and the continuous cycle of nature. The design is evolved from a Celtic knot design.
Staff at Hamilton thought it best if people saw what they wanted in it, so have not labelled it with the title.
